Best Vegan Fried Egg Recipe | Ready in 20 Minutes!
This vegan fried egg recipe is delicious! With a protein rich egg white and a tasty, gooey, eggy yolk. This is such a fun veganized recipe to make any time of day, from breakfast through to dinner, you simply can't go wrong with sunny side up vegan eggs.

Vegan fried eggs have quick become one of my weekly staples for brunch.
We are always looking to create vegan versions of classic recipes, such as our delicious silken tofu scramble and our tasty vegan egg salad.
Vegan Fried Egg Ingredients

The black salt (kala namak) mimics the sulphuric flavours of eggs, giving it an eggy taste.
The rice flour, mixed with soya milk and silken tofu creates a well bound mixture for the egg whites.
Whilst the corn flour mix, with spices such as turmeric, garlic powder and onion powder creates that gooey egg yolk.
The nutritional yeast gives a wonderful umami flavor alongside the other seasonings.
This recipe is also gluten free and nut free.
Vegan Egg Whites
- Silken Tofu
- Soya Milk
- Rice Flour
- Black Salt (Kala Namak)
Vegan Egg Yolk
- Aquafaba
- Corn Starch
- Olive Oil
- Nutritional Yeast (Nooch)
- Black Salt (Kala Namak)
- Paprika
- Onion and Garlic Powder
- Turmeric
How To Make These Vegan Fried Eggs
- Blend the vegan egg white ingredients together until smooth. Scrape down the sides and blend again if required.
- Now place the cornstarch in a pan, alongside the aquafaba to rehydrate
- Add all of the other vegan egg yolk ingredients and whisk together
- Now place this on a medium heat, stirring constantly until it is cooked through and thickened.
- Heat the non-stick pan on a medium to high-heat and add olive oil. When it is hot, add ¼ cup of the vegan egg white mixture. If using a larger pan, you could fit around 4 vegan eggs in.
- Create a little hole on each, don't worry if it doesn't form perfectly. Lower the heat now and cover, letting it cook for around 6 minutes.
- Now add around 1-2 teaspoon of the vegan egg yolk mix to each hole on the egg whites. Cover and cook for a further 1 minute.
- Now use an egg slice to pick the vegan fried eggs up carefully from the pan, then serve how you like them!
- Make sure to sprinkle a little extra black salt on top of the vegan fried egg - don't skip this step.
Hint: Make sure to whisk throughout the heating process of the vegan egg yolk stage so it doesn't go lumpy and stick together
